Validate metadata

Before you send catalog and availability feeds to Apple, you should ensure that your feeds structurally comply with Apple’s UMC Specifications so that all of the data will be properly ingested into Apple’s systems. To validate your catalog and availability feeds, download the catalog, availability, and partner manifest XSD (XML Schema Definition) or use Apple’s docker tool, Media Feed Validator (Beta), available upon request from your Apple Technical Partner Representative.

During validation, you may see items flagged with errors or warnings. Your feeds should be clear of all errors and any major warnings before sending to Apple for review, as this will help expedite the feed onboarding process. Work with your Apple Technical Partner Representative if you have additional questions.
